Snail, Gone

Four inks this time, and the snail is mostly momentum. The blue arrived last and took the lead, which is how it goes.

Every print here is pulled by hand from a block I carved. No two pulls are exactly alike. The ink sits a little differently each time, and the block leaves its own small marks in the margins. Printmakers call that chatter, and I leave it in on purpose. It is how you can tell a person made this. Finished prints leave the bench signed and numbered.
